  • Twenty Four

I'll be 24 years old by 0000 hour tonight. WOW!!!! 24..... I've learnt a whole loads of things for the past few years and yes I've been working for 4 yrs at the same place with different co-workers. A lot of things in life that I've experienced by either banging my head on the wall or just by listening/reading/learning from others i would say is one of the things that has helped me grow so much in the past few years.

There's also a community of people that has helped shaped me into who I am today. Just to name a few, first and foremost is my family. A lot of things that I do comes from my upbringing. Like any other family there's the beauty and the ugly side of it. As for mine, being in my family has made me to be a strong person. Through the trials and circumstances that my family has been through (and maybe at some point still going through) I am who I am today. My family as I know it is, is not at all perfect but one thing I do know is that I know they love me and I love them. This becomes more vivid towards my nephew and my niece. I love them more than words can say. If ever there's a requirement for me to trade my life for them, I would do it without a shadow of doubt. Thanx Pak, Mak, Bro James, Che Che Florence, Prince Jordan, Che Che Ann, Sis Rachel, Bro Cliffie, Princess Rena, Bro Daniel (I miss u so much!!!) ,Bro Abraham for a great time of fun, frustration and also for the love poured out. There is not a single day that i don't think about you all especially Prince Jordan and Princess Rena. Love you all heaps!!!!! =)

For all my friends especially Jessie & Jisha, you guyz are CRAZY!!!! A true fren indeed! =).To John & Ai Fuah, thanx for coming alongside me in this journey and believing in me. My life has been thoroughly bless by both of you!!! For the all youth leaders, thanx for all the learning curve that I needed and also for all the encouragement and friendship. Also for accepting me just as I am =) I would like to thanked especially Josh @ Joshie =p for everything. Thanx for all the advice, bouncing off ideas, the scolding (i needed it!) and for listening to me crap for hours and hours =) . I think your life has shorten after listening to too many of my crap! hahahaha =). Also to Mel, thanx for listening to me too sometimes when I need a listening ear and also for the advice =). Thanx to Uncle Philip, whom I really respect for his integrity and faith. He is the one person that believes in the impossible would become possible if only you trust in God. My mentor, Aunty Chiou Lien for being a joy to be with and to journey alongside with. I'm bless by the tenderness of your heart and the gentleness of your spirit in handling life. To my mentees, Val and Kim, it's been a great journey being able to sow into both of your life and it has been a great privilege for me to mentor you both. Seeing both of you grow and fulfill the potential within you is such a great joy for me. To all the youth in Skyline, you all bring joy, fun and laughter into my life. Continue to be totally sold out to Him and Rock ON!

Thank Q to everyone that I have the privilege to know and build friendship with. I treasure each one of you deeply in my hearts and I love you all heapS! =)

    originally me,
    eleni =)

  • call+response

Was reading Brad Ruggles blog (http://www.bradruggles.com/) and he posted this which to me is amazing.

CALL+RESPONSE is a first of its kind feature documentary film that reveals the world’s 27 million dirtiest secrets: there are more slaves today than ever before in human history. CALL+RESPONSE goes deep undercover where slavery is thriving from the child brothels of Cambodia to the slave brick kilns of rural India to reveal that in 2007, Slave Traders made more money than Google, Nike and Starbucks combined.

There are MORE SLAVES TODAY than ever before in human history!

In 2007 Slave Traders made more money than Google, Nike and Starbucks COMBINED!

CALL + RESPONSE is a unique documentary because its goal isn’t just to present the facts but instead to provoke a response. The web site gives you a host of ways you can take action against the injustice of slavery in the world we live in.

In the words of social and political luminary Dr. Cornel West,

    to WATCH the video http://vimeo.com/1950529

Never forget, justice is what love looks like in public.

To me seeing a whole group of influencers coming together to fight for a cause that as amazing as this really stirs me up. Our world just doesn't revolves around our own problem. There are others who can't speak for themselves and need others to speak on behalf of them. Lift up ur eyes and look beyond your own problems and your own stuff and be the voice of those who can't speak for themselves.
Fight for a cause that is bigger than yourself. I really like what Dr. Cornel West said... JUSTICE IS WHAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE IN PUBLIC.

Most of you might not know Zach Hunter, here's a bit about him....

Fifteen-year-old Zach Hunter is just like any ordinary American kid. He likes listening to music, reading, and running after what he is passionate about. By the age of 12, he had a specific passion. It was to ‘be the change’ and abolish slavery, just as William Wilberforce did 200 years ago. Having launched the ‘Loose Change to Loosen Chains’ http://www.myspace.com/lc2lc programme in the seventh grade, Zach raised thousands of dollars with the intention of rescuing victims of slavery.

As the global student spokesperson for The Amazing Change, a social justice campaign launched in conjunction with motion picture Amazing Grace, Zach continues to encourage people to become modern day abolitionists, and to take after the steps of Wilberforce.

  • spontaneous idealist (SI)

I did the ipersonic test yesterday, (for more info http://www.ipersonic.com/index.html) n here's my result.

I'm a SPONTANEOUS IDEALIST n here's the elaboration about it.

    enjoy!

Spontaneous Idealists are creative, lively and open-minded persons. They are humorous and dispose of a contagious zest for life. Their enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. They enjoy being together with other people and often have an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. Spontaneous Idealists are masters of communication and very amusing and gifted entertainers. Fun and variety are guaranteed when they are around. However, they are sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to their direct and sometimes critical nature.Spontaneous Idealist

This personality type is a keen and alert observer; they miss nothing which is going on around them. In extreme cases, they tend to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and are inwardly always ready to jump. Life for them is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, they quickly become bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. Their creativity, their imaginativeness and their originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - they then leave the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, Spontaneous Idealists attach great value to their inner and outward independence and do not like accepting a subordinate role. They therefore have problems with hierarchies and authorities.

If you have a Spontaneous Idealist as your friend, you will never be bored; with them, you can enjoy life to the full and celebrate the best parties. At the same time, they are warm, sensitive, attentive and always willing to help. If Spontaneous Idealists have just fallen in love, the sky is full of violins and their new partners are showered with attention and affection. This type then bubbles over with charm, tenderness and imagination. But, unfortunately, it soon becomes boring for them once the novelty has worn off. Boring everyday life in a partnership is not for them so that many Spontaneous Idealists slip from one affair into another. However, should the partner manage to keep their curiosity alive and not let routine and familiarity gain the upper hand, Spontaneous Idealists can be inspiring and loving partners.

  • Desert Song By Brooke Fraser

    I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!
It's from the new Hillsong album "This Is Our God"

Music & Lyrics By Brooke Fraser

This is my prayer in the desert
When all that’s within me feels dry

This is my prayer in my hunger and need

My God is the God who provides

This is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved of more worth than gold

So refine me Lord through the flame

I will bring praise, I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare

God is my victory and He is here

This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ

So firm on His promise I’ll stand

    All of my life
    In every season
    You are still God
I have a reason to sing

I have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest
    When favour and providence flow

I know I’m filled to be emptied again

The seed I’ve received I will sow.

I have to say that BROOKE FRASER ROCKS!!!

  • something that i wrote sometime ago...

    Hi people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's something that i wrote about 2 years ago that i came by few days ago and it kinda reminds me what's truly inside my heart. Hope u all be blessed by it!

all that's in my heart I give to U
all that I want to do in the future I give to U
all the petitions of my heart belongs to U...
a woman that is highly praised by men because of her value n strength,
a woman that love only one man n only one for the rest of her life...
a woman who dares to make a difference
but yet a child who's heart is totally soft n yielded to the Father
a child who thirst for more of the Creator in her n zero of making her self great
a child who longs to just stay still n adore her Father
a child that wants to bless the heart of her Father
but a girl who laughs with no fear of the future
a girl who look's at beauty from the inside out
a girl who look at roses n just love's every moment of it
a girl who fears the Lord with all her heart...
it all sums up as WARRIOR,PRINCESS n DAUGHTER ....
